They're singing the blues in one Grand Bay subdivision. Michael Mosley is so fed up with the giant potholes, he's singing for political help.

Grand Farms Road West is such a mess that all basic services have been cut off.

State Representative Spencer Collier introduced the Dirt Road Bill last year that would make it legal for the county to do basic maintenance on roads that pose a threat to people's health and safety. That bill died by pocket veto because Governor Bob Riley didn't sign it before deadline.

Collier has decided to introduce it again this year and says it would help residents like those in Grand Bay.

All 3 Mobile County Commissioners are opposed to the bill saying it would add 1300 more miles of road for them to maintain and would cost the county an extra 15 million a year.

Collier says not all private roads would be eligible under his bill.

Has the road been fixed yet? NOPE..  I have to say that if ya want to do something then help fix it. I see some one sent a private mesage to Sunny that want nice with vulgar words in it. Well if some one got on here and called me stupid and i was a back stabber i would too. So but you did start calling names on here. So if you would like to anned someone then you need to quit the name calling too..If you have a problem with this person and you know who it is why don’t you go talk to them instead of calling them names on here. But all i know is that this road is not fixed at all and the people on this road are to cheap and stuck up to help get the road fixed..I see alot of people use it. I don’t blame the people on East complaining about ya’ll using that road. You don’t help fix that road either.. But ya’ll use it. All i have to say from my personall experience is that the people want it fixed but won’t help to get it fixed. Signing a piece of paper won’t get it fixed now..

I really have had all the private E’mails I’m going to open. These people with a limited vocabulary should be banned from commenting on anything and if I receive another one with any vulgar language I will see that it is taken care of.I can’t believe a stay at home Mom doesn’t have anything better to do and the only thing I can say about is TO KNOW ME IS TO LOVE ME!

I Just have to say that Angie has worked on this alot since she moved out here 3 years ago. She has done alot by getting the county on their toes about this. She has put alot of effort int getting the paer work and fileing it with the county. So lets give credit to her. May be she can get this done that NOBODY else has done before. I HOPE!!! As she said it just aint us that this bill will help. I am not against what SHE is doing just not counting on it fo a while. So that is why i have been collecting to have the road graded until she can get what she needs to get done with the county. As everyone knows that the county ain’t going to do nothing till 2010. So why dont people call me and donate money to get the road graded for right now just until angie gets the county to do it. And yes I have helped her toooo. Just ask her she will tell you. So As Angie said we need to work together.. So lets do it!! GET R DONE .LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True when this started it was to get some thing done for one Subdivision but when it became apparent that it was a County problem not just an isolated area we need to reach out to one another and support the new legislation. neighbor of m.o.m.

The people on Grand Farms West are presently trying to follow the guide lines for the roads made before 1984. According to the County even the people that live on that one road are governed by both laws. It is very difficult to say the least. I don’t know if we will be able to accomplish it. Even if we do it won’t be until 2010 that the County will start to work on it. The roads made after 1984 will benefit from this change in the legislation also. It will make the law equal for everyone living on private dirt roads.

The present law on private dirt roads has two separate set of guide lines one is for if the road was made before Dec. 31,1983 Which is very difficult to abide the paper work that you must sign is basically equivalent to signing a blank check and giving it to the County. The second set one is for the roads made after Jan.1st, 1984. It is impossible to accomplish. Please just stay on point and support Rep. Collier and the other 1700+ people and the countless others that didn’t know of the petition. People lives and safety are at stake.

Please stay focused on the task at hand. We with the help of Rep. Collier and others are trying to make life better for people. This new legislation will benefit all of Mobile County. Did you miss the part of the story that said that over 1700 people have signed the petition asking for help and change in the present law. Any one else that would like to help Call Rep. Collier. He will tell you how to contact the people that are trying to help pass this new legislation.

I also live on this road. All i have to say is that this is so stupid..People on this road is so divided. i have heard certain people say that they have helped with road when i know they haven’t put in their fair share. As for kjjmbf she went around trying to collect money for this road and she didnt ask for much just 50 to get the road fixed. I don’t think that is asking to much. I know i have lived here for 25 years. Don Smith worked on this road for years. I just think for right now we need to put money in to get this road fixed.. Cause according to the paper Angie has the county wont do anything until 2010. So i think we should all get together with kjjmbf and put our money up to get it fixed for right now and keep it fixed up until the county takes it over. If they take it over!!!!!! well i have already given kjjmbf my money for the road I think everyone else should to. So lets stop lazy and do what is right…. GIVE THE MONEY AND GET THE ROAD FIXED!!!

Sorry sirk

Sunny - I’m not a boy. Of course I guess I could call you Sonny boy
