SILVERHILL, Alabama - Silverhill Police Chief Kim Wasdin tells News 5 the deaths of a woman and her teenage daughter are now being treated as homicides. The bodies of 18-year old Samantha Combs and her mother, Donna Henderson, were found early Tuesday morning in their mobile home. At first, investigators believed the women were poisoned by toxic gas, perhaps propane or carbon monoxide. But Wasdin says tests on the air quality inside the mobile home are inconclusive.
Chief Wasdin says because of that and the fact that there are still a lot of unanswered questions, the case is now an active homicide investigation. Wasdin has called state law enforcement agents to help investigate the deaths.
