GULF SHORES, Alabama - The 38th Annual National Shrimp Festival wrapped up in Gulf Shores. Today was the last day for the yearly event. Organizers say they probably had more than 200,000 people come down for a visit. Dozens of food and arts and crafts vendors took part in it. They say, overall, it was a good festival.“I think this year has been a little off but overall people have turned out and they have been buying,” says Fine Arts Chairman Ron Arnold. He says their biggest challenge was hoping the weather held out. He says they're eager to get ready for next year's festival.
