Traffic is so cluttered around shopping areas, Spanish Fort Police have to help direct cars.

“It's pretty much a snail's pace you've got all the attitudes and the aggravation, everybody's reflecting that in their driving,” says shopper David Collins. He trudges through the Bass Pro Shop with his wife, braving not only the cars but the crowds. While they're looking for some last minute gifts, he say's budget is only slightly smaller than last year.

“The cost of living reflecting on your grocery bill, your lighting bill, it's probably not that much less,” says Collins. Whether you're just getting your shopping wrapped up this week or work in retail this time of year it can be a very taxing time for anybody.

“We run on a lot of days in a row it's one of those things you learn how to take a nap when you're walking from one department to the other,” says Bass Pro Shop promotions manager Gordon Andrews. More than 7,000 people walked through the store in Spanish Fort Sunday.

carl dont dare do that, drill and fill w rock salt, that will kill the crown and then it will fall uncontrolled probably on the house. get it cut down. that probably will work on the edge of the property but not where you are concerned about falling limbs causing danger.

Carl, tht tree won’t be alive if you drill some big ole holes and fill them with Rock Salt!

A stump wouldn’t bother me so much on this one up front. I’ve got a 20 foot stump in back from a previous tree I had cut down and I don’t find that too objectionable. This one up front has to go or be topped out since it could cause some real damage to my home. It’s a tall big one and I hate to lose a tree but it’s a danger during hurricane seasons. I’ve got to find out if a tree continues to live after being topped out.Any way Clay city GOOD MORNING and don’t spend all that money in one store, spread it around some and any you have left throw it over here,I’ll take care of it! grin

be patient for a long time, my guy ripped me off after all, he took down the trees, charged me 175 more than he agreed on, and didint grind the stump. not quite the bargain i had hoped for but not overly expensive. satisfaction about 75% becasue of the stumps.

I’m still waiting on a sale for tree removal, now that is sale that is hard to catch! But I’m patient.

Wait for the sale after christmas, they will pay you to take the stuff.
