About 30-40 people were seen standing in line outside of the Best Buy at Springdale Mall in Mobile just before midnight. They were waiting to take advantage of Alabama's sales tax holiday this weekend. Best Buy opened it's doors from Midnight-2am to give bargain hunters an early start on saving.

This is the 3rd year for Alabama's sales tax holiday. Shoppers will be able to buy clothing, school supplies, books and computer equipment and they will not have to pay the state's four percent sales tax.

Alabama hopes to attract shoppers from Mississippi and Florida this weekend. This is the first time in 9 years Florida has not offered a sales tax holiday.
Mississippi has never had a tax free weekend.

Alabama's sales tax holiday runs until Sunday at 11:59pm
