Milton Joyner, the chairman of the Ladd-Peebles Stadium board of directors, tells News 5's Randy Patrick the contract is a nine year deal, but the Senior Bowl can opt out after three years and after six.
Joyner says he is anxious to sign the contract and hopes to have a formal announcement later today.
As News 5 first reported last week, the two sides reached a deal on Friday to play the 2010 game in Mobile and negotiations were continuing on a long-term contract. Those negotiations have ended in Mobile's favor.
The Senior Bowl, which has been played in Mobile since 1951, had been talking with other cities, including Jacksonville, Florida since its contract with Ladd-Peebles Stadium expired in January.
