Searchers Looking For Missing Man

Alabama Silverhill Dozens of searchers from all over the Gulf Coast combed Silverhill Tuesday looking for a missing man.

Dozens of searchers from all over the Gulf Coast combed Silverhill Tuesday looking for a missing man. They're looking for 54-year-old Russ Murfin. Police believe he may be in danger. Murfin was last seen Monday afternoon leaving his home on South Boulevard. Silverhill Police Chief, Kim Wasdin, says he is bi-polar, depressed and may be suicidal, "Mr. Murfin is supposed to be taking medication for his condition. He left that medication, he does not have it with him and we are very, very worried about him at this time," said Chief Wasdin. Murfin is 5'10", about 175lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing blue jeans, a camouflage shirt and work boots. If you've seen him call Silverhill Police at (251) 964-6000.

On Tuesday I met people taping up fliers at the BP in Silverhill.I asked for one and said I’d pass it at Church on Wed. I got on my knees Tuesday night and asked God to please help this family find thier loved one.I also asked to use me in anyway to help.On Wed.I was driving on Co.rd.49 and there he was!With coxing I was able to get him to contact police and return him home. God is so good!

I know this man. He used to live with his wife and son. I was friends with him and his son. they lived down the street from me in Spanish Fort. I do hope they find him soon. We love you Mr. Murfin.

This is sad, my uncle was bi polar, and he lived a hard life, in and out of hospitals, my mom is on medication, but I dont think she is that severe, nevertheless, it makes me more concerned about my mom and dad every day, this makes you appreciate your family more.
