Four scrap metal thieves are behind steel bars after getting caught red handed.

Mobile police arrested Ketrick Thomas (26), Dennis Mitchell (35), Leslie “Shane” New (39), and Darrell Penix (51) Saturday afternoon at a business on Bay Shore Avenue. Police say the four men had removed scrap metal, siding and gutters from the building and were loading it into a van when officers arrived.

All four are charged with burglary. New was ticketed for not having current insurance on the van.
