SCOTUS Denies Stay Of Execution For Willie McNair

ATMORE, Ala. (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to delay
the lethal injection set Thursday for Alabama death row inmate
Willie McNair.
The 44-year-old McNair is scheduled to be executed at 6 p.m. for
the killing of a 68-year-old Abbeville woman, Ella Foy Riley. The
retired textile workers' throat was cut with a pocketknife and her
purse stolen.
