Mobile County Public School officials are doing what they can to prevent a Swine Flu outbreak. They're reminding students to wash their hands properly. The school system's Supervisor of Health Services, Dr. Wanda Hannon, has been in touch with state, federal, even world health officials, and at this point, she says they're asking parents to not panic, "the things that were doing now is talking with the media in hope that we can get more information out to families, to tell them to please do the same things we do at school, have the children wash their hands at home and that is the first thing that we are to do in instituting our communicable disease plan with our pandemic flu preparations," said Hannon. Hannon also says custodians are being reminded to carry on with the cleaning they do everyday, to use proper cleaning solutions, and to sanitize things that people touch, like doorknobs. But at this time, Hannon says there is no reason to close schools.
