Saraland Man Accused Of Raping Missing 15 Year Old Girl

Alabama Mobile Mobile police say they found Alex Dennis having sex with the missing teenager in a car. He's charged with rape sodomy and drug possession

Mobile police have arrested a Saraland man they say raped a missing teenage girl.

The 15-year-old girl was reported missing from a home on Edgewood Street around 9:20 Sunday night. A short time later, police found the girl in a car on Josephine Street having sex with 25-year-old Alex Dennis.

Dennis is charged with rape, sodomy and drug possession.

Sort of sounds like she willingly was have sex. But this is not enough info to suggest rape…strong acusation.

By what little info posted here, seems he should be charged with statutory rape. Assuming there is a big difference between rape and statutory rape.

I don’t think this falls under rape, but no way should any grown man have sex with a minor and get off free with it. I remember being that age and any attention was good attention to me. Kids in the kind of situation are very easily persuaded to do things like this, and no way should a grown man have the right to take advantage of that. True she might had wanted it just as bad as him. But as an adult he should learn to keep his junk in his pants when it comes to a minor. If he can not control himself then it is obvious that he is right where he needs to be, in jail.

Sounds like this girl knew what she was doing. She was having sex. I think it is unfortunate that for a girl under age having sex it is called a rape. Rape is a violent act. An underage girl wanting to have sex is not a rape.
