Mobile police are looking for three masked gunmen who robbed a pharmacy, stealing Morphine and Oxycotin.

The robbery happened around 8:30 a.m. at Deuel Drugs on Springhill Avenue.

Witnesses say the men got away with the drugs but were chased out of the store by a pharmacist firing shots.

Within minutes, police surrounded a house just two blocks away on Randolph Street. Investigators believed the suspects were hiding inside, but when officers made entry no one was there.

Police recovered items belonging to the suspects and items from the drug store behind the house. The suspects were last seen in a white four-door sedan.

This article is appreciated, because it keeps the public informed about the criminal activity in the city of Mobile. The media is being extremely hush-hush about the criminal activity in and around Mobile. I guess the mayor wants to give the tourists a false impression of the level of criminal activity in the city so that they will come here and so that some naive person may decide to actually move here.  The residents of the city are not that dumb - we know that this is no city of angels (no matter what the city leaders will tell you).  The news media should stop bowing down to political pressure and give the citizens the news that they want - both good and bad.
