Record Sentence In Animal Abuse Case

Alabama Animal Cruelty A man who tied his mother's pit bull to a post beat it with a shovel then set it on fire has been sentenced to nine years six months in prison.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A Montgomery man who admitted to
torturing his mother's pit bull has been sentenced to a record nine
years and six months in prison.

Circuit Judge Charles Price gave the sentence to Juan Daniels, who admitted that he tied the dog to a post, beat it with a shovel, then soaked the canine with lighter fluid and set it on fire in September 2007.

The dog, named "Louis Vuitton," was burned over 60 percent of
its body but survived.

The case drew national attention and the sentence was a record
in an animal cruelty case in Alabama. It was six months short of
the 10 year maximum.

Where is the dog now ,is he ok will, he be killed or let live ,i no peta dont like pits ,i bet they killed him allredy ,we will see if they put him down as they call it ,but i agree this man needs jail for this ,i just hope peta dont kill this dog ,he has been trough enough .

To Judge Charles Price,(THANK YOU)we need more justice like this to put a end to Animal Cruelty.Plus the punishment he received from the Judge,I hope other inmates will see what a weak sister he is and give him some punishment of their own.

My feelings exact.
I am sure this individual will enjoy prison. His fellow inmates will probably look up to him, thinking he is a big man. Then maybe when they find out what he is locked up for they will consider him a coward and will dish out some prison punishment. I am sure when asked what he is in for,he will say Man that dog framed me.

9 years is not long enough for this low life. I say, let the punishment fit the crime. He is to be tied to a post, beat with a shovel, and then lit on fire and allowed to burn, but not die. Then, AND ONLY THEN, will he know what it is like. I have no sympathy or remorse for this idiot. This poor dog is more human than this moron will ever be.
