While flood waters may have receeded, some are bracing for another bout. Rising flood waters nearly forced the Sullivan family out of their home last week. The Washington County family learned their lesson as they rushed to put up sandbags in the rain.

Billie Jean Sullivan says she plans to keep the sand bags up through the weekend just in case it begins to flood again. Though she's weathered a few storms Sullivan tells us she's never been through a storm like the one last week. "We've been here a long time and it's never been like that just a little bit during the hurricanes..so that's why it just shocked us that we were having such a problem this weekend and it was happening so fast,"Said Sullivan.

As soon as the weather clears up the family plans to build a birm around the house.
