BIRMINGHAM — A production company has optioned the rights to Birmingham native Warren St. John's 2004 book "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer."Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/22421/
St. John said Half Shell Entertainment, which develops movies for HBO, now has the rights to develop the book into a screenplay. The book follows fanatical Alabama football enthusiasts as they travel from game to game during the 1999 season.
Its title springs from the "Rammer Jammer" cheer Alabama fans chant following a win.
