Mobile's first responders are more prepared to handle a train crash thanks to a three day seminar presented by Operation Lifesaver.

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department's training division hosted the seminar, which taught participants how to respond effectively and safely to incidents involving trains.

Randy Burns of Operation Lifesaver says from the dispatcher to emergency responders, there are specific questions that can be asked and steps taken to properly investigate rail road accidents.

Operation Lifesaver is a Birmingham-based group that offers free safety courses to emergency responders, schools, churches and businesses.
