Radio Station Remembers Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson King Of Pop Local radio personalities share some of their most fond memories of the late musical icon.

Music fans across the world are mourning the loss of musical icon Michael Jackson.
Radio station WBLX went into heavy rotation of Jackson's music after hearing of his death. Radio personalities and listeners shared memories of the "King of Pop".
The singer and the Jackson Five both performed at Mobile Civic Center several times.

"I Remember 1979 Michael Jackson tour Mobile Civic Center, Michael Jackson 'Off the Wall' tour, Michael comes on stage explodes out of a box. I won my first pair of tickets from 93 BLX,"Said Vinny D., Promotions Director for WBLX.

Michael Jackson was 50 years old.

He was a man (boy), he lived, he died…..we all live and then die. Get over it. I loved Elvis but after the shock of his death, I got over it.

I have not had a chance to listen to the radio, but they have all his video’s lined up on youtube when you first go to the site. Had to watch Thriller. Great song and video. He may have not been the best person, but man I love that video.
