BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) - A fox found in the Clear Springs area
southeast of Bay Minette has been diagnosed with rabies.
Baldwin County health officer warned pet owners on Friday to be
sure their animals are vaccinated against rabies.
Charlotte Plumb, environmental supervisor with the Baldwin
County Health Department, said it was the fourth animal found with
rabies since August. The other three that tested positive were an
infected fox in Elberta, a bat in Fairhope and a raccoon in
Seminole
Alabama law requires that dogs and cats 3 months of age and
older be vaccinated for rabies annually.
