MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Federal prosecutors have recommended
that former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman be sentenced to 20 years in
prison when he receives a new sentencing hearing in federal court
in Montgomery.
That's a much longer sentence than the more than seven-year
prison term Siegelman originally received for his 2006 conviction
in a federal government corruption case. The recommendation comes
after a panel of three appellate judges dismissed two of the seven
charges the former governor was convicted of and ordered a new
sentencing hearing.
Prosecutors made the recommendation in a letter to federal
probation officers. The probation officers will prepare a report
recommending a new sentence to U.S. District Judge Mark Fuller.

THROW THE BOOK AT HIM !!!!

Give him 30 years!!!  I dealt with this fool when he was attorney general for alabama, and even then his attitude was “You have a Problem? So what! I’m a BIG SHOT!! Don’t bother me with your trivial problems! I guess he “Shot” himself in the foot. I hope he gets 30 years, and each time he whines and cost taxpayers more money, give him another 10 years.

It doesnt matter, he is a crook, plain and simple. He stole money, and let his friends have special contracts, then he gets on the air and tries to blame the other party. What did John Tyson say about the bingo machines, a slot machine is a slot machine is a slot machine. same goes for Siegleman, a crook is a crook is a crook. There is evidence to support it and he has no leg to stand on!

This Democrat should have kept his mouth shut. Now he is looking at more time.Do these “IDIOT’S” ever learn.Doesn’t matter if they are Republican or Democrat, they all think they can get away with it.What’s that old saying Donald.“If you can’t do the Time don’t do the Crime”.You will be a “Old Man” by the time you get out.Usually they let you out, when you complete half of your sentence. You can forget that.

They should give him time served and let him out. He was a good Governor and did a lot for education in Alabama. He also tried to get a much needed lottery. He is no worse than the ones still in office.
He would show up on Daphin Island for the fishing rodeo wearing a t shirt, shorts and a cap. He was a regular guy.  I wish him and his family well.

He will get on tv and say its a Republican plot.Anything to make him look better.

I bet he could kick himself today!

Looks like this one is backfiring.
