- UPDATE: The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says Jody Clarke was captured around 2:30 Wednesday morning. He was located by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office and the Foley Police Department. He was found hiding in a mobile home near the landfill and has been turned over to the Alabama dept of Corrections and taken back to prison in Atmore. -Police in South Alabama are looking for an escaped prisoner on the run Tuesday night.
The Department of Corrections says 23 year old Jody Gregory Clarke disappeared from the Magnolia Springs Landfill in Baldwin County Monday evening around 5:00.
Clarke is serving a 15 year prison sentence for a robbery in Mobile County. He has been at the Atmore Community Work Center since 2006.
He is considered a minimum security inmate. Investigators are still trying to figure out how he made his escape. Clarke was last seen Monday around 4:30 in the breakroom at the landfill.
