1:37 pm Update: During the course of this morning’s investigation, Corporal Charles Bagsby with Mobile Police says they discovered a car was stolen from Candy City Paint and Body. Bagsby says the car was a Ford Crown Victoria, candy green in color and a 1998 or 1999 model year.

Freddie Goodman says he spent nearly the last decade of his life building his two businesses, Fat Boyz Choppers and American Fleet Service. Those two along with Candy City Paint and Body were destroyed by fire early Friday morning. No one was injured but the two buildings destroyed are considered a total loss. The cause is under investigation. A spokesman for Mobile Fire-Rescue says members of the ATF were called in to help. Captain Kermit Watson says the ATF has special tools to help them determine the cause of the fire. Watson says there were so many automotive chemicals in each business that it will be hard to determine the cause. He says Mobile Police are investigating the possibility a car was stolen from one of the businesses before the fire. The full story is here.
