According to Alabama State Troopers, this week is when the most traffic fatalities happen. They say they’re targeting “preventable fatalities.” Interstate 10 was swarming with troopers today, much like during the 4th of July weekend. I’ll have more on this story later today.

Mr Alabamaoutlaw, How do you know that a percentage of each ticket is allocated directly to the Troopers retirement?
The Troopers are state employees and participate in the Retirement system of Alabama and DO NOT get a commission each time they write a ticket.
Maybe some backwoods township in podunk county might indeed relate citation revenue to Officer salary.

Mike I have to agree with you.  I get so angry to get behind someone who drives as slow as a turtle.  I want to get out and have a “talk” with that person so bad - just drive will ya.  Drive like you have somewhere to go.

I hope I can stay free of these guys writing tickets.

Eh, I’m all for respecting the law but I HATE driving slow.  Nothing makes me want to ram someone from behind more than a wide open road and someone infront of me doing 35 mph.

What % of each ticket is contributited to their retirement ? If you don’t mind,I know it is done just don’t know how much.

I’ll be the first to jump in and say that I hope their presence will slow some people down, and exhibit less road rage.
