I don’t believe it’s about helping someone out.It’s about helping someone who is willing to try to help them selves.To do it all for someone is just a temporary fix to the problem and the problem will shortly return. Charity and helping is good if someone is willing to help themselves other wise they’ll return to the old ways.No place is perfect but this place looks as if it’s been abandoned for a long time and for that long a time it seems to say ” I don’t care”.If someone wants to do it for her let them,if it is done in a reasonable amount of time and they don’t expect to get anything back from it.I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s brought back up to livable standards by others,that shortly afterwards it would be on the market.I’ve seen it done before,maybe she wouldn’t do it but it’s something to keep in mind.Help those you can that are willing to help them selves as best they can. I’ve been there and the only way out was to help your self first before expecting others to help.

To the person who said, “ask yourselves if you would sit quiet if this was your neighbor I think not”.  That just show’s that you’re not willing to really HELP a neighbor.  I’m glad you’re not mine, because a HUGE fence with perimeter lighting and razor wire would be a nice touch to keep someone like you away.  HELP THIS LADY OUT and quit complaining….trust me, I bet YOUR HOME ISN’T PERFECT…cut her some SLACK and be christian about this!

This didn’t just start happening to the house.This place shows years and years of neglect and it can’t all be blamed on Cancer and a divorce.This house looks to have been on the dangerous list decades back,but if some people with money wants to put it back in acceptable condition,then let them step forward and lend a hand in short order.If in a reasonable period of time it can’t be revived then it needs to be removed for every-one’s safety.I think the bad neighbor is the one making things bad for all the others in the neighborhood.When you let a house deteriorate to this condition,you really couldn’t be calling your self a good neighbor or caring about the house.Doesn’t even look from the pictures that a simple coat of paint has been applied for decades and most anyone can paint.

First of all you need to be one of Ms. Caraway’s neighbors to fully understand the issue at hand. I am a neighbor, I live next door.not down the street,but next door. My home and her’s share a drive way.pretty close huh. My home was built in 1972.She has not lived in the house since Ivan, I know this as a fact..I know someone who cut her yard for the 07 cutting season..I know this because I did it.The next cutting season 08 I did not because of comments she made to her friends oneday while I was taking trash out.These comments were about her neighbors not helping her.These were mean spirted, hateful comments.That spring of 08 was the last time anyone has done anything to that yard until last week (Thursday) she had a group people come and clean with 1 guy cutting bushes on Sunday.This I know as a fact too.But for the defence of us “heartless neighbors” I wonder how many of you would sit quiet and watch the snakes, wood rats and roachs run across your drive into your yard were your kids play? I have not been concerned about my property value declining..I do not plan to sale my home..My concern is my family and their safety..I have live in this home for 7 seven years and my neighbors are kind people..I believe good a neighbor will not force their will on other,but I also believe a good neighbor will not force their lack housekeeping on their neighbors as well.And for those who commented on this subject, ask yourselves if you would sit quiet if this was your neighbor I think not

amazing just what cleaning up the lawn will do to the place…i agree instead of complaining offer the lady some help…see people don’t know others situations and always want to complain…Im sure the last thing on her mind are fooling with the house…cancer alone is a major tole on someone and a divorce is icing on the cake…gezzz..i hope someone volunters to help her out somewhere..there are good people in this world…

I think a REAL neighbor would HELP her….a good neighbor is better than gold…a bad neighbor is….well…anyway, she shouldn’t have to put up with that.  I may just set up a group of us to come over there and spruce her place up and show her BAD neighbors what the RIGHT THING looks like!

Yet another tale of people LOOKING for something to complain about.  It’s HER house, nobody else should have any say in it.
