Preview:  Changes Coming to Mobile County Public Libraries

Economy Mobile County  Starting October 1st branches will change fees and hours to cope with a budget shortfall.

MOBILE, Alabama - Check-out time for books goes from four weeks to three weeks. It’ll be 30 cents a day instead of a quarter if you return a book late. These are some of the changes coming to Mobile County libraries this Thursday. Officials say funding sources have been cut and they wanted to find a way that would have the least impact on staff and library patrons.
