Pregnant Woman Attacked By Dog At Own Baby Shower

Attack Pit Bull Women are recovering after being attacked by a dog Saturday afternoon.

It's a party interrupted after a pregnant woman and another guest are the victims of a dog attack.

“Like it was a movie, like I was on a movie, something I never seen before,” says Adaina Bettis. She helped pull 21-year-old Nicole Harris to safety, after Harris was attacked in the back yard of a home on Dauphin Island Parkway. Guests say the dog is a family pet and apparently broke off his leash.

“Seven months pregnant and we had to get him off of her,” says the victim’s cousin Charlena Sylvester. She tried to beat the dog off Nicole with an umbrella. Another woman, Christie Harris was also injured. Guests say they were both treated for injuries. They say they’re both expected to recover. The dog was taken by Mobile Animal Control and is expected to be put down.
