The Mobile County District Attorney's Office hasn't decided if they'll try a 15-year-old accused of murdering another teen as an adult. Mobile Police first believed last week's shooting death of 14-year-old Nubian James was an accident. But,now authorities are saying it was intentional. The shooting happened Wednesday on Woodlawn Drive South. Tuesday would have been Nubian's 15th birthday, but instead of celebrating with the Williamson High School student,
his family and classmates are mourning his death, "Nubian was a smart, intelligent, brave, lovely, just a person, who you would like to be around," said Williamson High School classmate, MarKala Lewis. Williamson High held an emotional tribute to Nubian Tuesday morning. Classmates, family, and teachers were there to speak about the 9th grader. His family was presented with his certificate of academic achievement.

It is sad. This murderer will probably get off if the DA’s office doesn’t know how to try him yet. More sadly, Judge Stuart Dubose is in jail for no crime. Our justice system is not working.

I THINK IF HE ISNT CHARGED WITH MURDER HIS PARENTS SHOULD BE. WHERE DID HE GET THE GUN? THIS IS WHY AS PARENTS WE HAVE TO GET INVOLVED WITH OUR CHILDRENS LIVES. ITS SAD THAT MRS. JAMES WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE ANYMORE TO BE APART OF HER SONS LIFE.

THIS IS SUCH A TRAGEDY FOR THE JAMES FAMILY. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY. IT IS SAD THAT THE PRESS WAS MORE INTRSTED WITH BOY WHO SHOT NUBIAN FAMILY COMMENTS THAN THE FAMILY THAT WAS GOING THROUGH SO MUCH TRAUMA. I GOT SO MUCH RESPECT FOR MRS. JAMES FOR RAISING A CHILD WHOSE LIFE WAS SO SHORT BUT YET HIS LIFE SPOKE FOR ITSELF. PREVIOUSLY MRS. JAMES LIVED IN TENN. AND HE TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES IN HIS NEIGHBORHOOD THAT THEY ARE HAVING CANDLE VIGALS FOR HIS MEMORY. PLEASE KEEP THIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS.
