Mobile police say they have identified one of the three men wanted for posing as a cop to prey on the elderly.

According to police, Birmingham native Eric Odom and two other men went to a home in the Maysville neighborhood on February 9th. They told an elderly woman that they were conducting an investigation and had to scan some money and property to see if it was stolen. Instead, police say they stole $8,000 dollars and a gun. Because of that gun, Odom is considered armed and dangerous.

But she was an elderly woman the article says.. Sometimes older people just don’t believe in banks because my grandmother is that way… But how he got away just baffles me..

Was it the maysville apartments…now we know why they had that kind of money laying around…they don’t have to pay that much rent…

Yeah, that did seem VERY odd for that large amount of money to be taken with the resident right there watching.

I wish I had $8000 just sitting around my house.
