Police ID Man Shot To Death At Satsuma Truck Stop

Alabama Homicide  54-year-old Charles Young is the first homicide victim of 2009 in Mobile County.

Police have identified the man found shot to death at a truck stop in Satsuma.

Customers discovered 54-year-old Charles Young sitting in his car around 9 o'clock Saturday morning at the Pilot Truck Stop at I-65/Highway 43. When firefighters arrived, they attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful.

Police are waiting on autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death.

Family members say Young, who's last known address is Malcolm, has been living out of his van for the past month.

Young is the first homicide victim of 2009 in Mobile County.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Satsuma police.
