WHIL surpassed its fundraising goal in its most recent pledge drive. The station held an emergency pledge drive to make up for a budget shortfall of more than $200,000 dollars. In an interview last week station manager Mario Mazza said the emergency pledge drive was needed to keep the programming line-up unchanged. Thanks to donors, they won’t have to cancel Car Talk or other popular NPR shows.
