The man named a "person of interest" by the Daphne Police Department in the death of Brianna Parish has hired a lawyer. News 5 has learned Fairhope attorney J. Clarkl Stankoski to represent him. On Monday, the Eastern Shore man was named a person of interest by investigators because MacDonald was the last person seen with Brianna before she disappeared more than a week ago. The 21-year old's partially clothed body was found three days later by her family, near a sewage treatment facility on Main Street.

Stankoski would not talk to reporters about the case and his client's possible involvement. The Fairhope attorney told News 5 he would make a statement when autopsy results are finalized. MacDonald has "not" been arrested or charged in the case and has "not" officially been named a suspect in Brianna's murder.

News 5 has also learned MacDonald was suspended from his job at a body and paint shop in Fairhope. The owner of Fairhope Body and Paint would not talk to News 5 but did confirmed MacDonald will be suspended indefinitely.

The Daphne Police Department did not talk to reporters Tuesday. News 5 made several attempts to contact detectives, but nobody returned our phone calls.

On Tuesday, fresh flowers in memory of Brianna Parish, were placed on Main Street near the murder scene.

Bamabob: Nov 19 post; You mentioned the POI being weirded out and having scratches on his legs. Meth could be the reason for being weirded out and he could have scratched his legs because of crank bugs. Or he could have scratched his legs walking in bushes. That doesn’t mean he is guilty tho. Meth is an epidemic and isn’t talked about enough. It is huge in Daphne and it makes people psychotic. Psychotic people can be very dangerous. Research meth. Also I am not sure his lawyer is a “criminal attorney” and he will need one weather he is innocent or not. If he was positive for meth or any other drug maybe that is why the cops brought up drugs. Maybe his employer was suspicious of drugs???

yes..go to nbc 15 online and do a search for “DNA Backlog”.  They did a segment this week on it.

If they are waiting on DNA results, then that must mean they have something to test.  Nothing like DNA to solve a crime like this.

well this is just a question, but why is everything so quiet on the investigation? are they waiting on dna results?

Citronellemamma - that’s the one.

hey…..I do not Daphne that well…..Are you guys talking about the Alligator Alley right by the interstate????

There’s a difference between having a camera, and having a “simulated camera” which is just a empty box with a fake lens attached and sometimes a blinking light. They are installed to deter mischief. Many stores, especially major retailers have many “simulated cameras” installed, I suppose many of those in Down Town Mobile are probably simulated also. Not to mention the fact that, without proper maintenance, the lenses will fog up and get dirty. I hope something comes through soon, so that this can be put to rest!

Maybe, but think about it.  Why leave a body in that location so near to traffic and passersby?  If that creek is known to have alligators, then that could have been the reason.

No thats not what I was saying at all!  People really take stuff out of context on here!  I was just telling u that that place has cameras!  It just happens the creek is right there beside the plant! I know that area well I used to live in Bay Vista Apartments!  Which is right on the other side of the treatment plant!

Geez, do you think someone was trying to drop her in that creek and couldn’t do it?
