Parish’s Parents Dispute Police

Alabama Mobile Father and mother say Brianna does not have a drug record.

The father of Brianna Parish said he's "infuriated" by a statement made by Daphne Police.
Yesterday, a police lieutenant said Brianna had been arrested on drug charges in the past.
But Bruce Parish said Brianna was arrested for having a prescription pill in her purse about two years ago, and that an investigation found it was an anti-anxiety medication.
Parish said, "We told them (Daphne Police) that this pill that she was arrested for in her purse was a pill that she had a prescription for. It took months for them to analyze it and come back with what it was. When we found out what it was, we took the prescription to the courthouse and the judge laughed and said 'This is ridiculous.' and threw it out and there's no record of it. There's not an arrest. There's no arrest record."
Both of Brianna's parents said they want to see quicker action to solve the crime.
Brianna's mother Sylinda Parish said,"I am very angry and I have been angry at police from day one because I think they have sat on their butts and done nothing."
As for Troy MacDonald, the man named by Daphne Police as a person of interest, Bruce Parish said he and his family tracked down MacDonald and had him come to the police department.
And Parish also remembered something he said MacDonald told him and his wife at the time.
Parish said, "He (MacDonald) looked us square in the face and told us what a beautiful daughter we had. (I) didn't really know what to think at the time. It was creepy."
News Five has not been able to get in touch with MacDonald.
There have been no arrests in the case.

The family needs to call for investigation into the Daphne Police Dept. Which can be proved after the autopsy and toxicology reports..if it was retalliation and sure looks like it.. They need to be removed every one of them.

Was amazed to see people trying to take up for the P D…must be other officers. And I am a retired officer so I speak with knwledge….they unnecessarily made deroggatory character statements regarding this girl and are inept and unprofessional. Do you really believe every detail is fed to the public in any investigation? No people they are not and unnecessary character implications have ruined this P D s reputation. I don’t care what idiots they are…just do your job and ask for help through legitimate means…ie FBI not saying ugly things in the media trying to get useless info and smearing her reputation. It is retalliation against her parents pure and simple and those that spoke at this press conference should be punished and removed from their positions. Get real Baldwin Co and face what you have there…unconsionable officers that are porly trained. Bless her soul and her family and I hope for some closure for this family and young girl. Call Troy King for justice.

Just to let everyone know the friend became concerned after about 20-30 mins that Bri didn’t come in the bar. She did not just sit down and start having drinks. First thing Wed is when her parents left and drove all the way from Texas. This made the news Wed. night people come on! Her parents had her cell records that night and had Troy go to the police next morning!

I agree with you.. just remember that not everything that has been stated is actually accurate. Yeah the police have to hold back some info.. but really.. the detectives know the most about what’s going on.

I think it was stated that the family brought Macdonald to the police. Also, saw an interview with the owner of Jubilee and he said Troy usually keeps to himself. The police are holding back info, just wish we hd a few more pieces…as does everybody.

No idea about when he got home.
The friend knew she was on the phone with Troy.. and yes he was a regular at Jubilee..the girls saw him at Jubilee and I’m guessing that’s where the two exchanged numbers?

The cops and the parents both caught wind of Troy being involved.. so it wasn’t just a coincidence.

Does MacDonald live alone? Has there been any mention of what time he got home that Wednesday? All I have seen is that he did not go to work that day.

Did the friend of Bri know Troy MacDonald? Did the regulars at the Jubilee Lounge know Troy MacDonald?

Was it coincidental that the police investigation had taken them to MacDonald, while the family’s efforts led to the same individual? That is not very clear.
