The unsolved murder of 21 year old Brianna Parish has some women concerned for their own safety.
The Baldwin County woman's murder has shocked social scenes like Dauphin Street.
Many women we spoke with say Parish's murder has served as a wake up call to be more aware of their surroundings.
The owners of the Dauphin Street Taqueria tell News Five security is a top priority for them.
"That's why we've got video surveillance in the entire building in our parking lot next to us..we've also got the cop cameras on every corner. And then we got a door guy that always walks us to our car, so no female here goes to her car by herself," Said Shannon Harley, Dauphin Street Taqueria.
Experts say women should always try to travel in groups, especially when out at night. Take notice of your surroundings. Once you get in your car, lock it and drive off. According to experts women have a tendency to sift through their purse or fumble around with other things, making them an easy target.

Just to let some of yall know that evidently have been talking about a possible serial killer out there.  Yes there have been seven women killed in Louisiana but they were all cocaine heads and from the same area and have no connection with the Parish case.  The two women that went missing in B’ham.  The Leeds woman disappearance someone has been arrested on that and the other woman thy think it has something to do with her ex.  It took me all but five minutes on the computer to get all of this info!

“we’ve also got the cop cameras on every corner. “

Most of which DO NOT work. For example, when someone broke out the front windows to the bar previously at 216 Dauphin Street, there was no footage of it because the cameras around there didn’t work.

Besides, the ones that do work don’t seem to be closely watched. I usually see the lady in there on the phone!
