The blessing ceremony got a special welcome on Sunday May 3rd 2009. The fleet blessing is traditionally preceded by a parade. Dozens of cars rolled through the small community as part of the big day. People were throwing moon pies and beads and dozens of people were eager to catch them. The parade was one part of a two-day long event for the fleet blessing.
