Prichard Police and the FBI raided three houses during "Operation Trap House" this afternoon.
Police arrested five people at two houses along North Joseph Street.
Authorities also seized, a loaded handgun, Crack Cocaine, Marijuana and prescription pills.
Police hit a house on Kate Street where two malnourished Pitbulls were found chained up in the backyard.
Animal control was called to rescue the dogs.
A spokeswoman for Prichard Police tells News Five the raid was part of a two month long investigation. "Some may not like what we do, and some might like what we do, but we're within the law and we are going to do our job,"Said Nona Simmons with the Prichard Police Department.
Out of the five people arrested, authorities say only three are being charged at this time.
Marcus King, Demario King and Wanda Hampton are facing multiple drug charges for Marijuana and other controlled substances. Police say Marcus and Demario King's charges will also be enhanced since the two were allegedly selling drugs 3 miles from a school zone.
