One of the seven suspects in the robbery and murder of Byrd and Melanie Billings will stay in an Alabama jail for now.Donald Stallworth's parents drove him to the Escambia County Jail in Brewton to turn himself around 9:00 p.m. Monday.
Tuesday afternoon, Stallworth refused to waive his extradition to Florida. That means he will remain in the Escambia County Jail on a $1 million bond.
State Attorney Bill Eddins says he will charge Stallworth, Leonard Gonzalez Jr, Wayne Coldiron, Gary Sumner, Fredrick Thornton, Leonard Gonzalez Sr and an unidentified 16-year-old with capital murder.
The Billings, who are well known for adopting special needs children, were shot to death in their Beluah home Thursday night.
Escambia County, FL Sheriff David Morgan told their daughter, Ashley Markham, at a press conference Tuesday that investigators have found the people responsible for killing her parents.
