There's good news and bad news to report when it comes to your Thanksgiving budget. If you plan to drive to your Turkey Day destination, you won't have to pay as much, that's because gas prices are finally below $2.00 a gallon in Mobile. But despite the price drop, AAA says less people will be travelling this Thanksgiving Holiday.
While what you pay at the pump is down, don't expect the same when you go buy your Thanksgiving dinner. One local market owner we talked to says the price of turkey is up, "this is about the highest we've ever seen turkeys in my lifetime and I'm pretty old," said Naman's Market owner, Alec Naman.
If you plan to fly for the holiday, it will also be more expensive. AAA says airfare is up by 8% from last year and car rentals are up 4%.
