Man Dead After Being Involved In Shooting With Police

Mobile Police Shooting Mobile Police are investigating the death of a man found dead inside his apartment after exchanging gunshots with police.

Mobile, Alabama - Tuesday night around 10:30 pm officers responded to the 700 block of Herman Drive for an ongoing investigation.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they encountered a male suspect of the investigation at an apartment.
Mobile Police spokesperson Officer Christopher Levy says while on scene, shots were fired between the suspect and police.
The suspect stayed inside of the apartment and closed the door.
Police then secured a perimeter around the apartment.
Mobile Police Tactical Unit and Mobile Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
After assessing the scene, police found the male suspect dead inside of the apartment.
The suspect's name has not been released.
It is not known how the suspect died.
Mobile Police Homicide detectives and the Internal Affairs Unit are investigating.

Al.com has a recently updated report on this! According to Al.com, this man was to be interrogated for the rape of a 15-year old relative. Thanks for the good work MPD!! One less looser we have to provide room and board for!!
