Obama Not Interested in Running Automakers

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says the government
should help Chrysler and General Motors stabilize but then should
get out of the auto business as quickly as possible.
The government is working on ways to help the two struggling
auto giants survive with public money and increased federal
involvement.
Said Obama: "I don't want to run auto companies ... I've got
more than enough to do."
The president said the government should not micromanage but
that it does have the right to scrutinize what the auto companies
are proposing.
He said his goal is to prevent a breakdown of the auto industry
that would "affect everybody."
The president spoke Wednesday at a prime-time news conference in
the East Room of the White House.

Call in the team of speech writers, fire up the teleprompters, slow down the feed of the text through the projectors so he can keep up and bring in the hand selected journalist with pre- approved questions. Everything should go nice and smooth for his next daily prime time Breaking News conference of the President of the United States who is totally dedicated to correcting to the problems all of the past Presidents have made. ( little does he know it’s going to take that many more to correct the ones he is making.) Who built his new limo the “Beast”? Fiat?

He is definitely getting out of the defense business…... at a time of two wars, plus N. Korea pushing forward with guided missiles capable of hitting parts of our country. Then you have China that holds most of our debt deciding it is just the right time for them to go all out in building the biggest military force in the world.

How about getting out of the public office business and getting in to the auto business as quickly as possible. You got the people to buy the crud you were selling to get in office. Get them to buy the crud the UAW is selling. He is an arrogant joke
