Nuisance Bar In Baldwin County

Alabama Foley Baldwin County Sheriff's Office has a warning for the owner of a Foley nightclub...clean up your establishment or we'll shut you down

Sheriff's investigators in Baldwin County say Club Galaxia on Highway 59 just south of Foley isn't the type of place you'd want to take your date to.

"Everything from public drunk, disorderly, assaults, cuttings, minors in possession of alcohol," says Capt. Steve Arthur with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies have responded to more than 20 calls at Club Galaxia including a recent stabbing. Investigators say intoxicated bar patrons are fighting, disturbing the peace and performing sex acts in the parking lot.

"We're in the process of contacting our local district attorney's office along with Alcohol Beverage Control officers to see if they can't look at stopping their license renewal when it comes up for renewal," says Arthur. "If they can't comply with the rules and regulations of the law like any other business, then we're going to try and shut them down."

Investigators say they don't want to put the owner of Club Galaxia out of business, but they say if he doesn't clean up his establishment, they'll be forced to close the bar for the safety of the community.

We tried to contact the owner of Club Galaxia but the establishment did not return our phone calls.

I’VE BEEN IN CLUB GALAXIA SEVERAL TIMES (PROBALLY ABOUT 15 TIMES). I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT AT ALL GOING ON! I TRUELY BELIVE THIS IS ALL RACISM ON THE FACT THAT THEIR IS NEVER A COMPLAINT ABOUT YAYA’S, CLUB EVOLUTION, OR HOMEPORT LOUNGE WHICH IS ALL WITHIN A ROCKS THROWN DISTANCE OF ONE ANOTHER. HOW CAN THEY PINPOINT THIS ON CLUB GALAXIA WHEN ALL OF THEIR COMPLAINTS ARE ON THINGS HAPPENING OUTSIDE? HOW DO THEY KNOW IT IS CLUB GALAXIA AND WHY IS IT ALL GALAXIA? THE WHOLE THING IN A NUTSHELL IS… JUST DRIVE BY ON SUNDAY 12:30 A.M. AND DRAW YOUR ON CONCLUSION.

When I think of Hwy59 Robertsdale/Foley I think of big Church’s with people running around outside speaking in tongues not drunks running around the outside of bars trying to get some tongue.

Doesn’t this sound pretty much like every redneck bar in the country? Gave up the bar scene decades ago, but I still have some memories of walking into a few honky tonks back in the day. It wasn’t Saturday night unless there were a few passed out at the bar and a fight in the parking lot. All with a backdrop of Charlie Daniels belting out “Long-Haired Country Boy” coming straight out of the Wurlitzer.

This sounds like a typical Bourbon Street bar with the under age drinking, sex, drugs and fighting. The only thing they seem to be missing is a saxophone player out front with a couple of transvestites asking for a ride around the block.

I have heard that minors are in there all the time doing inappropriate and illegal stuff! I hope the club owners will get it together!!!
