MOBILE, Alabama - Sunday night, News 5's Weekend Anchor Kimberly Curth and Meteorologist Jene Young entered into a friendly pumpkin carving contest. Kimberly decided to go with a classic Jack O Lantern. Jene decided to get creative with a weather inspired theme: a cloud and lightning bolt. There was a little trash talking during the carving process, but the competition stayed mostly nice. In the end, both pumpkins looked great. News 5 viewers will vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced on Saturday, October 31. You can also send us a picture of your pumpkin carving skills. Email it to producers@wkrg.com. It may be used on one of our newscasts this week.
