HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Motorists ticketed for traffic
violations can now pay fines online to the Forrest County Justice
Court.
The Web site allows users to pay minor traffic offenses and
purchase renewal stickers for their license plates.
Sharon Thompson, the justice court clerk, says users also will
pay a small processing fee for using the Web site.
Thompson says residents will be able to log back onto the Web
site to check the status of their payment to ensure it was accepted
by the county.
She says the site also contains a link that lists fines for the
county's traffic violations.
Thompson says law officers have stickers informing violators how
to access the Web site that they will affix to citations when they
are issued.
