In this tough economy many companies are laying off people, but an Atlanta-based corporation is looking to hire hundreds of Gulf Coast workers. The Hertz building on Highway 43 in Saraland will soon be home to a call center and at least 12-hundred new jobs. Alabama Governor Bob Riley joined local leaders and the owner of Ryla Inc. to make the announcement Wednesday, "I can almost guarantee there's not another announcement anywhere in the United States of 12-hundred jobs coming to a community. I mean this is huge," said Governor Riley. The Mobile County Commission will pay Ryla Inc. 175-thousand over the next 2 years as an incentive for coming here. The company says it will begin job recruiting soon, but hasn't announced yet how you can apply. They plan to open their new regional headquarters and call center this Summer.
