The swine flu outbreak has forced Carnival to change the itinerary for at least 21 of its upcoming cruises that normally make stops in Mexico, including the Holiday.

The Holiday is scheduled to arrive back in Mobile Thursday morning. The ship made its scheduled stop in Progreso, Mexico but did not stop in Cozumel because of swine flu. Border patrol agents will meet passengers as they de-board the ship, looking for anyone who might have symptoms of swine flu.

The ship is scheduled to leave the same day on a 4-day cruise. But instead if its scheduled stop in Cozumel, the Holiday will visit Key West, Florida.

Then on May 4, the Holiday will leave on a 5-day cruise with stops in Key West and Freeport, Florida instead of Cozumel and Calica, Mexico.

If passengers booked on either of these cruises are not satisfied with the new itinerary, they can get a credit to use on another cruise of equal or lesser value before the end of next year.

Carnival will post an update on its website soon about cruises departing after May 4.
