A Milton toddler is doing better, a week after she was rescued from the Styx River. 13-month-old Kylee Waldrop is listed in fair condition at a Pensacola hospital. Grandfather Tommy Waldrop says the girl is responsive and is improving everyday. She nearly drowned last Saturday at a canoe drop point along the Styx River. Family members say Kylee accidentally got into shallow water. She was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital initially listed in critical condition. Family members say they're thankful for prayers from the community for their little girl. Tommy Waldrop says he believes his granddaughter’s made a 90% recovery.

That is great news to hear for a change.

I hope she recovers and is perfectly healthy. Sometimes, terrible things happen, but then they
remind you of all the wonderful things in your life that you take for granted everyday. Good luck to the family and little girl.
