"My momma ain't raise no robber," said 22-year-old Carlos Walker. "Man, my momma raised a hustler. I ain't do that."
Police say the cafeteria manager and plant manager had just arrived at school around 5:45 a.m. They were walking into the building when, according to police, Walker forced them to the ground and took their wallets and cash.
"I was asleep that time of the morning," Walker said. "I stay up all night and sleep all morning."
Walker was actually linked to the robbery during the investigation of an unrelated vehicle burglary. And when police showed up at his house, Walker says he was breaking another law.
"When I got arrested, I was at the house smokin' a blunt."
