20-year-old man on murder charges that accuse him of driving at 100
mph when he bumped another car off the road, causing a crash that
killed three people.
Michael Andrew Loper was indicted for the deaths of 18-year-old
Mary Allyson Baker of Mobile, and two Irvington brothers,
17-year-old Brian Matthew "Matt" Willis Jr. and 11-year-old
Brandon Christopher Willis.
They were fatally injured along U.S. 45 in north Mobile County
on Jan. 9. Police said Loper was chasing another car at the time,
and that all three groups had gathered earlier in the Citronelle
High School parking lot.
He was also indicted on a charge of leaving the scene of an
accident with injuries.
