It's a busy day for florists in Mobile. Employees at Flowerama on Airport Boulevard were on the last leg of a very long weekend. Mother's Day means more work for businesses like these. The owner says they're meeting sales expectations this year. He says they pull out all the stops for this big holiday“It takes us about a week to get ready for mother's day and get everything taken care of, and we start making flowers long days, extra employees,” says owner Mike Enfinger. He says they'll probably sell almost 10,000 roses by the time the mother's day weekend is over. Surprisingly, he says that's only half the volume of Valentine's Day sales.
