He said he was robbed with a gun to his head and had his car stolen by three men in a home invasion.
It happened about 7:00 Wednesday night at an apartment in the Cedar Trace Apartment Complex on East Village Green Drive.
The victim was Henry Elam.
When asked what was going through his mind at the time, Elam said, "I was just praying, don't shoot me, don't shoot me: I've got children."
Elam said he was sitting on the couch with another person when three men, dressed all in black, barged into his apartment through an open sliding glass door and pulled out guns.
He said, "Young men came in and robbed us, put guns up to our head and demanded everything we had. And they took our wallets, and took my keys to the car, and kept asking for what else, what else you got, and then they took off. I sat there and waited a few minutes, then I got up and I went out to see if my car was still there and it was gone."
Elam said his car is a 2009 Black Nissan Rogue.
He said the three men were also wearing skull caps or beanies on.
