A Mobile company is working with a California congressman to streamline your retirement plan. Tommy Thomasson is the CEO of Mobile based DailyAccess Corporation. He testified before congress last year about the importance of getting uniform fee disclosures in 401(k) s. The issue was featured on 60 Minutes Sunday evening with California congressman George Miller. Thomasson says uniformity helps consumers compare plans.

“Which provider provides services that are of value to that plan and for what price, if it's not uniform, you can't compare one to the other in a standard way,” says Thomasson. He says this is about helping the retirement funds of all Americans. Without uniformity, he says you could pay more for your investments than necessary.
