Mobile Bar Owners Busted For Illegal Gambling

Here is information sent ou by the Mobile Police Department:

On September 19, 2008, at approximately 9:00am, the Mobile Police Department Vice investigators conducted a search warrant at Solomon’s Bar located at 5753 Old Shell Rd. The search warrant was part of an ongoing undercover investigation into illegal gambling machines being operated at the business.

During the execution of the warrant, investigators discovered 3 illegal gambling machines inside the business. These machines are similar to regular slot machines, except the player receives a ticket redeemable for cash once they’ve won. Over $1,200 was recovered from these machines. Additionally, more than $5,000 was seized from the office where gaming machine tickets were recovered.

The bartender, Joseph Bryant (42) was arrested for Possession of Illegal Gambling Device. Business owners, Howard Weller (55), was also arrested for Possession of a Gambling Device and Promoting Gambling. So has owner, Steven Weller (58).

They need to be investigating these bars on Hwy 90 in South Mobile County! They have illegal machines and poker going on! Honestly though they need to put all there focus in DRUG DEALERS! Everywhere you go its there…Wonder how you turn someone in for dealing Cocain, I know they have a meth hotline?

Same thing that has happened to Government plaza. Greed, corruption, and overrun with riff raff. And that is just one of many reasons why mobile will NOT get the tanker contract. Ahhh, but so many are so easily blinded by there desires. All solomons ever was is a hangout for drunks and drug dealers/users. Those steamed sandwiches were pretty good though.
